MMTA joined SmartWay in 2006. SmartWay is a collaboration between the U.S. EPA and the freight sector to save fuel, maximize energy security, and clean the air. EPA helps trucking, shipping, and logistics partners calculate their current environmental performance, set improvement goals, understand fuel-saving strategies and technologies, calculate cost savings, and win industry and public recognition for their efficiency and leadership.
